I had been meaning to visit Coors Brewing since I first go to Colorado in 2020 but couldn’t due to Covid. So, of course, I had to pay a visit to the brewery when they reopened their tours. I thought I’d share some of the photographs from my visit.
I could write about the history of Coors for hours, but that’s been largely covered on the internet already so we are going to keep it simple with just a few key facts:
- Coors Brewery in Golden is the largest single-site brewery in the world.
- Coors started brewing beer in 1873 (celebrating 150 years next year).
- Coors became the first brewer to use a two-part all-aluminum can in 1959 and still operates the largest aluminum can factory in the world called Rocky Mountain Metal Container in collaboration with Ball Metal.
- Coors merged with Molson in 2005 becoming Morson Coors Brewing Co.
On to the visuals… It’s a pretty site! Right in the heart of Golden CO. Hard to beat.
