The Holy Grail of Belgian beer

Posted on March 9, 2023 by Morgane Byloos

Muslims visit Mecca; baseball fans visit Fenway Park; Disney fans go to Disney World; wine fans go to Napa Valley. Beer fans (freaks?) visit Westvleteren, Belgium.

Belgium: the recap

Posted on March 4, 2023 by Morgane Byloos

I was in Belgium for a couple weeks in the middle of February. Where do I even start? Do I lead in with the fact that my 91-year-old grandma has a six-pack of Chimay Bleue in her room at the nursing home?

Coors, of course!

Posted on October 27, 2022 by Morgane Byloos

I had been meaning to visit Coors Brewing since I first go to Colorado in 2020 but couldn’t due to Covid. So, of course, I had to pay a visit to the brewery when they reopened their tours. I thought I’d share some of the photographs from my visit.

More trade show, less s*** show, please!

Posted on October 10, 2022October 10, 2022 by Morgane Byloos

I didn’t really know what to expect. I got on the light rail (because I knew I’d be drinking and didn’t want to find parking downtown and drive after), got off at Union Station and made my way to the Convention Center. I was like a kid on Christmas morning… and then…

Fall Foliage Foray

Posted on September 30, 2022 by Morgane Byloos

There is really nothing like seeing the aspens in the fall. Ask any Coloradan. I had to raid the place for the views and the brews!

Coincidence? I don’t think so!

Posted on September 26, 2022 by Morgane Byloos

Do you know when the phrase “craft beer” was first used?

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes!

Posted on September 23, 2022 by Morgane Byloos

Boy oh boy! Where to start? I haven’t posted on here in far too long! Not because I haven’t been involved in craft beer but simply because of a lack of time and several more personal things I won’t bore you with.

Homebrewing is one of my favorite things to do. And doing it with a friend makes it that much better!

Hard work, craftiness and Americana

Posted on January 30, 2021 by Morgane Byloos

Some months ago I decided to venture out to Lafayette, CO to check out a few breweries that had been on my bucket list for a while, among which was Liquid Mechanics Brewing. Continue reading “Hard work, craftiness and Americana” →

Got to meet co-owner and brewer Jeff from Very Nice Brewing and try their Very Nice Kveik. Awesome day with a possibility of collaboration in the (near) future!
🇺🇸I’ve become a bit more selective about what I post on here. I used to post every single beer I’d had but frankly, who cares? I’m now going to keep my posting to a minimum featuring only beers that were truly delicious or out of the ordinary as well as people in the industry. Featured here is Taylor from @finkelandgarf holding my Maple Coffee Brown ☕️. The second photo is their Honey Rye Ale 🍯 Cheers! Oh and if you’d still like to know ALL the beer I’m drinking, please head over to @untappd.
🇺🇸Posting live from @buseybrews in Nederland, CO where I’m enjoying their Muleshoe Milk Stout. I wasn’t expecting snow today. It seems like every time I get a day off the weather is “crappy.” That being said the views in Boulder Canyon didn’t suck with a dusting of snow. Cheers!
🇺🇸 First time visiting @newterrainbrewingco! Incredible space! Their patio is friggin’ awesome. I had their Lost Colorado IPA and will probably visit again soon to try more of their brews! Cheers!
🇺🇸 Shortly after I came back from Belgium I paid a visit to one of Denver Metro’s newest breweries: @danicobrewing. Great place with a solid beer menu. As you can see I got a flight: 1. Tookah The Tucker Munich Dunkel 2. Mountain Majesty Sour with Boysenberry 3. Bodey, Bodhi & Associates East Coast IPA 4. Front Porch Porter 5. Midnight Rain Milk Stout 6. Kelsey Montague (KMA) Peach Wheat
🇧🇪 Happy St. Paddy’s Day! 🍀 Still going through some brews I had while in Belgium. I found this Westvleteren 8 with some green grass and a bit of green in the logo of the abbey. Does that count? Sláinte!
